THE LEONTIA GALLERY PRESENTS ‘SOLAR VISIONS’ A New solo exhibition by Steven Quinn exploring the planet and its future through the medium of collage and print. From the 30th of May to the 30th of June Art lovers are invited to the Leontia Gallery pop-up at 6-10 Central Parade, 137 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, E17 4RT to view the stunning new solo show by Steven Quinn The Leontia Gallery is thrilled to present Irish born, London based, artist extraordinaire Steven Quinn to present his newest body of work exploring our relationship with the planet and its potential prospects. Science fiction meets reality where humans holiday on the moon, take boat rides through the solar systems and raise a glass behind a screen of nuclear explosions. It’s a comprehensive message of human behavior and aspirations, innate with our desire to consume, to love and to destroy. This stunning new body of work promises to be some of Quinn’s finest work to date. Compromising new and never been shown works, including Quinn’s signature collages using hand cutouts from vintage magazines and found ephemera. By playfully juxtaposing commercial and dystopian images, he simultaneously highlights the darker social, political, commercial and climactic issues at hand. Steven Quinn is a hotly tipped artist and has shown his work alongside names such as Damien Hirst and Sarah Lucas at Tate Britain. He has also exhibited at the National Portrait gallery, at the renowned Photographers gallery in Soho, the James Freeman gallery and in various venues throughout London. Quinn has also shown his work overseas in New York and Chicago. Leontia Reilly, the founder of Leontia Gallery, will be offering private viewings and consultations to talk through the artwork whilst sharing industry insight on investing in art.
Art lovers from collectors to novices will also be invited to attend the preview night on 01/06/17
